Vocalist, songwriter (and actress) Angela Galuppo's debut recording under her own name (she also heads up Montreal pop/jazz ensemble St. Ange) is nothing short of sensational. What a voice! She makes each note count - drawing inspiration from her early idols, Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O'Day and Sarah Vaughn - but Galuppo's style and phrasing are entirely her own.

Backed by a stellar band the recording is beautifully arranged "It's a jazz recording with tunes you wouldn't necessarily associate with jazz." Think Black Keys. Think Prince. "The album as a whole is moody, romantic, tender, intimate, lush and soothing," says Galuppo, "as an artist and a human being, I'm constantly evolving and changing, and learning about myself."
